9月7日(日)ベトナム農業・環境大臣との札幌において会合があり、信濃が参加し、研究紹介をいたします。
土壌への炭素貯留能力の高い非生物・生物資源の選定
課題1代表:関 原明
利用可能と考えられる複数の資材、資源の候補を選定した。キャッサバ品種の選定をカウンターパートのAGIと進め、今年度用の苗の準備状況を確認した。

Activities
Field Preparation and Sowing (21 August)
The field was appropriately prepared before seeding. Sixteen plots were measured, and the seeds of Crotalaria, Sesbania, mung bean, and sunflower were pre-mixed and sown. To ensure proper growth of the cover crops, nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium were applied at a rate of 10 kg/ha (as nutrients). Participants also took part in the sowing process.
Soil Sampling (21 August)
Soil below approximately 10 cm was hard, requiring considerable hammering to insert the sampler. With the support of Mr. Vu (a local farmer), 48 soil samples were successfully collected within half a day. The collected soil samples were kept at SFI and are currently awaiting customs clearance.
Sensor Installation (21 August)
A Z6L Data Logger and Teros 12 sensors (6 points) were installed. Holes were dug to bury the sensors, and the data logger was enclosed in a plastic case and buried in the soil to prevent theft.

The data logger was installed between Plot 8 (FA) and Plot 9 (CC).
Storage and Equipment (23 August)
Soil samples and tools were stored at SFI in Ho Chi Minh City. Samplers, a measuring tape, net bags, and other items were also left at SFI, with the intention of making them available as shared equipment under the SATREPS project.
Observations
From the images provided by the farmer, satisfactory germination of the cover crops was confirmed.
A vegetation survey will be required during the growth stage of the cover crops.
Conclusion
With the cooperation of many participants, all tasks were successfully completed within one day. We sincerely appreciate everyone’s support.
土壌炭素蓄積量測定技術パッケージの開発
課題2代表:当真 要(北海道大学)

カウンターパートとなるSFI南支局での、必要な機器の選定、設置場所に加えて日本との連携に基づく分析体制の確認を行なった。
キャッサバ産地に適応した環境再生型農業体系の構築
課題3代表:信濃卓郎(北海道大学)

試験圃場の5年間にわたる設置方針をカウンターパートおよびタイニン省農業農村開発局、生産農家と打ち合わせを行なった。今年度設置する5ヘクタールの圃場の設置場所を複数回にわたって確認をした後に決定した。圃場を所有する生産者の了解も得た。周辺農家の協力に関してはこれまでの訪問時に相談をした複数農家から協力の表明を得ている。
キャッサバ環境再生型農法の社会的実践
課題4代表:Costa Junior Ciniro (CIAT、北海道大学客員研究員)

カーボンフローに着目して、キャッサバ生産農場―デンプン抽出工場―デンプン利用工場(味の素ベトナム・ビエンホア工場)の現地視察を行なった。文献調査等で環境再生型農法とScope3削減の可能性調査を行うと同時に、世界的な農地でのカーボン隔離に関しての動向調査を進めた。
